Re: SOUL Corporate Teachings
Thank you for this opportunity to introduce SOUL as an organisation. SOUL is an acronym for School Of Unconditional Love. It is our Vision to be a beacon of love and light for humanity by taking our teachings into the community through corporates and in working with groups of individuals.
In business today employers and employees are faced with many challenges. Inter-personal and personal issues often play themselves out in the workplace. Often perceptions cloud the truth or the reality and we find ourselves swimming in a murky pond – feeling our way and bumping our heads unnecessarily.
Everything starts with us. When we find out more about who we are and why we behave like we do, we can then learn to be understanding of others. We can also be truly compassionate and serving towards others but with a clear understanding of our boundaries. This helps us deal with clients and co-workers in a more receptive way because we learn to get out of our own way and rise above ourselves to do so.
The SOUL Teachings are processes to move people through stages from understanding how their thoughts and emotions command their lives to the place where they understand the meaning and feeling of being in the now. In progressing through this process, individuals find greater happiness with themselves which in turn leads to greater happiness in the workplace and better productivity. They also realise we choose our happiness and are not victims of any situation. This gives them a greater sense of peace because of the self-responsibility they learn and they become truly self-empowered.
These SOUL processes help people shift or reinforce their current level of consciousness. More importantly, it gives them the opportunity, through using the tools given and in finding their own tools, to keep working towards their own individual change in consciousness. Each session entails me speaking and teaching with interaction amongst the employees or individuals.
There is also feedback time at the beginning of each session. There are “games” or processes we follow and we work outside the workplace at times e.g. we might need to be in the natural environment like the Botanical Gardens.
The following are the topics that form the backbone of all the courses offered by SOUL:
- Thoughts & Emotions – Self-talk, Ego-mind.
- Thoughts & Emotions – Ego & Distractions, Judgement, Silence & Mirroring.
- Gratitude, Duality, Self-Responsibility, “We are all One”.
- Meditation & Breathing.
- Affirmations; Compassion, Tolerance & Patience; Spirituality & Positivity.
- Physical, Mental & Emotional Health.
- Boundaries & Family.
- Life Purpose.
- Values & Goals.
- Presence, Awareness & Consciousness.
- Living & Dying.
- Listen to your Universe.
We adapt the above into what is needed in your organisation. For example I have taken teachings 4,5 and 6 above and used it for the managers of a national organisation. They wanted to give their senior team the opportunity to get away from the office and learn amongst other things how to de–stress. The course content is:
- Meditation. This will be both practical and theoretical in which we discuss and practise various forms of meditation including walking meditation and guided meditation. This is very valuable for anyone because we continually ask through prayer or affirmation but we do not always listen and meditation is the place to do this in. We also include breath work in this section and practise various forms of this which will give the participants tools to use when stressed.
- Affirmations; Compassion, Tolerance & Patience; Spirituality & Positivity. In this section we look at how we ask for the dreams/goals we have to manifest in our lives through affirmations or prayer. It is also a section in which we learn more about the practises of tolerance and patience and how to help the people around us with this. This is vital along with compassion because often we forget that stress diminishes our ability to practise these important parts of life. We also look at where positive thinking and spirituality come together.
- Physical, Mental & Emotional Health. This is an interesting section in which we explore the three areas which along with Spiritual Health make up our wholeness. We talk about the importance of fresh air and water and go into some detail about research done on how water reflects our environment and how we can use it to heal and support ourselves. We also look which emotions are considered helpful and which are destructive. We also look at practical tips such as how much water to drink, how to eat and how to manage our emotional and mental health.
The participants walk away from this feeling relaxed and with tools to use to take back into the working environment and into their lives in general. They are able to use these tools to manage their teams and how to incorporate this into the workplace.
In addition to the above we do holistic business consulting i.e. looking at the day to day running of the businesses as well as the big picture which includes the metaphysical/spiritual side. We also do once off talks addressing the above topics.
Some of the other corporate courses we run are:
1. “Me, My Colleague and Our Client” for sales and administration teams.
2. “The Insightful Manager” for management teams.
We also run a programme over two sessions concerning the exchange of energy that we call money and how to manage this and find abundance. The Session is called “Money: My Master or My Servant?” The aim in this session is to teach people how to manage money responsibly taking into account thought processes, values and goals. It stimulates both left and right brain and is therefore both practical and spiritual or metaphysical. By acknowledging that we should not live other people’s lives and establishing what our true values are, we begin to use our money for the reason that reflects our truest self.
Some of the topics we cover are as follows:
1. Thoughts and Emotions.
2. Gratitude and Self-Responsibility with money.
3. Values, Goals and Affirmation.
4. How to invest and who to go to for advice?
5. What is good debt?
6. Money is just energy.
7. What should you do to secure your family and you?
